User Registrations

On the User Registrations page, you can:

  • Reserve your organization's domain name(s) for your users and allow automatic registration for new users with this domain(s);
  • Configure SAML or OIDC federation for particular domains;
  • Accept/decline requests to join your organization account;
  • Invite new users and view the invitations' statuses;
  • Search for a specific invitation or approval request in the registration log.

Domain Management

To allow new users to join your organization account, provide the organization domain name(s) that you want to reserve for your organization account. When a new user creates an account, the Smart Trading Cloud checks the user's email address to see if its domain name is already reserved by an organization account. If yes, the service adds the user to this organization account.

To reserve organization domain names for your organization account:

  1. On the top of the User Registrations page ( on the left navigation bar), click Add Domain.
  2. Enter an organization domain name and click Add.

Note The creation of an organization account with a public domain requires the Edifecs administrator assistance. Contact support at support.edifecs.com to create such an account for you. After the account is created, you, as an administrator of this account, can manually add users and give them access permissions as well as administrator permissions.

Not to receive approval requests from users with the domain name(s) you reserved, in Domain Management, Approve user registrations automatically is selected by default. The service automatically registers these users and sends you an email notification with the user contact information. If you want to receive approval requests from users with the domain name(s) you reserved, then select the Approve user registrations automatically option.

If you want users to authenticate not with the Smart Trading Cloud but with your organization's external identity provider that already stores user identities, you can configure SAML or OIDC federation for a particular domain.

Approval Requests

When a new user attempts to join an organization account, the Smart Trading Cloud sends a registration request to the account administrator for confirmation.

To approve or deny user registration request(s):

  1. On the User Registrations page ( on the left navigation bar), in Approval Requests, select the check box next to the corresponding request(s).
  2. Click to approve or to deny the request(s).

Invitations Sent

After you invite new users, on the User Registrations page, in Invitations Sent, you can see the list of invited users with the invitation time and status, as well as remove invitations from the list.

Registration Log

To view the registrations and invitations history, on the User Registrations page, in the upper-right corner, click Registration Log. You can select to display the invitations or approval requests with a specific status, or use the search field to find a specific invitation/ approval request.

After you add users to your organization account, you can view the list of users with their account details on the User Management page, as well as manage their access to the Smart Trading Cloud.
