Manage Access to User Account

After your account users pass the registration in the Smart Trading Cloud system, their account status becomes active by default. If you need to deny access to the Smart Trading Cloud for particular users, temporarily deactivate or permanently remove their accounts from the system. If a user has configured multi-factor authentication (MFA) for their account, you can reset their MFA credentials if required.

To deactivate/activate a user account:

  1. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), go to the All Users group.
  2. In the right pane with users list, select the check box next to the user account(s) you want to deactivate/activate.
  3. Click Deactivate () if you want to suspend user access to the Smart Trading Cloud services without removing the account. The user's status changes to Inactive.
  4. -or-

    Click Activate () if you want to activate user credentials and resume user's access after being suspended. The user's status changes to Active.

To reset MFA credentials for a user:

  1. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), select the check box next to the required user.
  2. In the right section with the groups list, click More Actions () and select Reset MFA Credentials.
  3. Click OK.

To remove a user from your organization account with no ability to restore their account, follow the steps below.

To delete a user account:

  1. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), go to the All Users group.
  2. Select the check box next to the user account(s) you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete ().
