FHIR Components Overview

When you install XES Module for FHIR, FHIR components become available for your XEServer installation (in the HL7 section of the EAM palette).

FHIR components allow you to perform the following actions with FHIR servers:

• Perform CRUD operations on a FHIR resource using the FHIR Resource component
• Search for FHIR resources using the FHIR Search component
• Perform any flexible custom action by building your own request to the FHIR server.

All the components can connect to a target FHIR server through the XEServer FHIR Service or by using the component-level connection settings that you can set for individual FHIR components. The components support SSL mechanism for a secure communication with FHIR servers.
