New Features

Support for Multiple Environments

Compute Service relies on Smart Trading Account Service for organization account management, user and role administration, and authentication and authorization. With the latest enhancement to Account Service introducing support for multiple environments, all Smart Trading Cloud services, including Compute Service, now benefit from greater flexibility and safer testing workflows.

This enhancement allows you, as an organization administrator, to create additional environments for test and development purposes to validate and configure changes without impacting the Production environment. It improves governance, streamlines collaboration, and supports scalable development across isolated environments. You can add and manage multiple non‑production environments for testing, configure users and access controls for each, and manage service subscriptions with ease. Zero-downtime deployment and updates

The Compute service now allows you to deploy a different build, scale your environment up or down, and upgrade Edifecs products required for running XEServer profiles within deployments with zero downtime.

Monitoring service integration

You can now monitor the activity on the Compute service portal and view events logged during XEServer profiles processing through the Monitoring service.

Internal endpoints

Each profile endpoint now has an internal URL that can be used to set up communication between profiles in complex projects.

Other minor updates

  • The option to select a primary application user for an environment has been deprecated. Make sure to share the project folder with the operational users for the deployed build and set up user access.
  • You now can delete a specific version of a build.
  • You can now customize the appearance of the Compute service portal to adhere to your organization's branding guidelines in the Smart Trading Account service.
  • As a guest user in another organization, you can now switch between account on the My Profile page.

Cloud Light

Edifecs has preconfigured a dedicated environment with ready-to-use builds that you can use for your data processing. Contact Edifecs support to get the builds deployed for you and start sending your data to the endpoints without any additional configurations on your side.

Improved user interface and usability

The Compute service's web interface has been redesigned to improve the way you interact with the service and provide a clearer view of the main capabilities. The enhancements include:

  • A separate Dashboard page with statistics and status indications,
  • The ability to assign operational users for each deployment (not for the whole environment),
  • Improved view of build details on all the build versions, and more.

User permissions management

You can utilize the functions of the group attributes of Smart Trading Account to allow users to perform specific operations in Compute service, such as to create builds, update deployments, start and stop environments, and many more.

Endpoints enhancements

The paths to HTTP service endpoints include the route name and do not change after you redeploy a build or deploy another version of a build within the same environment.
