Share Confidential Documents

With the Smart Trading Cloud Repository, you can share confidential documents and be sure that nobody besides your recipient will be able to accidentally access your files. The Smart Trading Cloud Repository uses two-factor security authentication to implement secure access.

To send a confidential document to another user:

  1. Sign in to your Smart Trading Cloud Repository account or create a new one.
  2. In the Smart Trading Cloud Repository, in the My Files directory, navigate to the file you want to share. For example, repository:/my_files/Guidelines/101.ecs
  3. Right-click the file you want to share, and then select Share.

    Hover over the selected file, click , and then select Share.

  4. In the Share dialog, in the Share Link section, in the Link Sharing Method field, from the drop-down menu, select Shared by Link with Second Factor. Using this option, you can provide access to a shared file protected by an access key that implements two-factor authentication. In addition to the link, you need to provide the access key to make the access secure. Next to Anyone with link can, select Edit to provide full access or View to provide read-only access. Next to Resource Link, click Copy () to copy the link, and then send it to the user you want to share the file with. Next to Access Key, click Copy () to copy the access key.

    5. Note For security reasons, send a link and an access key to the target user/recipient separately (for example, through an email and an instant messenger) to prevent undesired access to the file.

    When the recipient follows the shared link, a dialog that requests an access key appears. If the correct access key is provided, the file appears in the Shared Files directory of the recipient.

  5. Click Done.
