Job Status Sample Profile Overview

When data processing in your business environment involves working with numerous profiles and routes, scheduling workflows may dramatically increase your productivity. This sample profile shows you how to delay business data processing on the back end. In this case, the system must correctly process the incoming triggers by tracking their state and making sure that only one of incoming triggers invokes back-end processing.

Requirements

  • Edifecs XEngine 9.2.3 or later.
  • Edifecs XEServer 9.2.3 or later.
  • Edifecs Application Manager (EAM) 9.2.3 or later.

Prerequisites

In Edifecs Application Manager, add the profile Job Status Sample from the Edifecs Library. For more information, see Edifecs Library Help Center.

  1. In EAM, start the profile and verify that the routes have been started.
  2. In the Admin Console, make sure that there is only one item in processing state on the back end (the Job route) for 30 seconds.
  3. Make sure that after processing is done next item goes to processing for 30 seconds, and all other triggers that are fired do not invoke processing on the Job route.
