Alert Component Sample Profile Overview

This sample profile demonstrates how to get XESManager alerts regarding various events occurring in the XEServer profiles.

Requirements

  • Edifecs XEServer 9.2.5 or later.
  • Edifecs Application Manager (EAM) 9.2.5 or later.
  • Edifecs XESManager 9.2.5 or later.

Prerequisites

  1. In Edifecs Application Manager, add the profile Alert Component Sample from the Edifecs Library. For more information, see Edifecs Library Help Center.
  2. In XESManager, deploy the Alert configuration XESManagerConfig-AlertRules.zip available as a part of the sample profile and located at ${XESProfileConfig}/config/samples/XESManager. Once deployed, the Alert is displayed on the Alert Rules page:

    This is a low severity, event-based Alert with the Alert Sample profile set as the target system. The Alert Qualifier in the Condition section is the same as the Alert qualifier property for the Alert component in the sample profile. This Alert gets triggered once the Alert component in the profile passes the Alert qualifier property AlertSample to XESManager.

  1. Start XESManager.
  2. In EAM, start the profile and verify that the route has been started.
  3. Put any file to the folder ${XESWorkspace}/test-data/inbound.
  4. In XESManager, on the System Monitoring page, make sure the Agent is online.
  5. On the top menu, click , and then go to the Alert Monitoring page.

Once the input file is processed, the following Alert is displayed:
