HL7/CCD Data Load

Edifecs XES Module for FHIR supports the following HL7 transactions of the 2.5.1 version:

• A01: ADT - Admit/Visit Notification
• A03: ADT - Discharge/End Visit
• R22: OUL - Unsolicited Specimen Oriented Observation Message

The following sample demonstrates how FHIR Resources are created. The PID (Patient Identification) data node in the HL7 ADT01 guideline becomes the Patient FHIR resource. The OBX (Observation/Result) data node becomes the Observation FHIR resource. The full list of supported FHIR resources is available here.

Sample HL7 Guideline

To load HL7 data or CCD to XES Module for FHIR:

1. On the Patients page of the web portal, click Browse for HL7 or Browse for CCD.
2. Navigate to an HL7 or a CCD file you want to load.
3. Click Load HL7 or Load CCD. New patients are added to the Patients List.
