Application Users

You can use the Smart Trading Cloud applications for processing artifacts you store in the Smart Trading Cloud Repository directly in the cloud environment. For that, you must create an application user (if it is not created automatically after you activate a service), obtain authentication credentials for this user, and share the files that this application user must have access to.

To create a new application user:

  1. Log in using the Administrator’s account of the customer organization.
  2. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), on the top, click Create Application User.
  3. In Create new application user, enter the application name and click Create.

You can see the newly created application account in the group Applications with the pseudo email address automatically generated for the application.

To allow an application user to authenticate in the Smart Trading Cloud system, you must provide its credentials that you can download from the Smart Trading Cloud.

Note Each time you download credentials for an application user, the Smart Trading Cloud resets the previously generated credentials and generates the new ones.

To get application user credentials:

  1. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), in User Groups, select the default user group Applications.
  2. Find the required application user in the list and click More Actions () on the right of the application user's record.
  3. On the drop-down menu, select Reset Credentials, and then click Yes.
  4. Navigate to a location on your local drive where you want to download the credentials.stcc file to and click Save.

The downloaded credentials.stcc file contains a character string that you must provide to deploy your artifacts to the Smart Trading Cloud applications. You cannot log in to the Smart Trading Cloud services using these application user credentials.
